Ciência 2019

2019ia 2019

CIAC is present in another edition of the Meeting Ciência 2019.

The Foundation for Science and Technology is once again promoting the Meeting Ciência 2019 with the objective of promoting a broad debate on the main topics and challenges of the scientific agenda beyond the world of research.

The CIAC accepts once again this challenge and proposes to take to the Lisbon Congress Center three emblematic projects hosted by the Center: “Garrettonline”, presented by Sandra Boto and Pere Ferré; the pioneering training in Portugal “Digital Literacy for the Labor Market”, a project presented by the researcher Maria Potes Barbas, from the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, where this training has been in operation and the presentation of the project “Film literacy with children, young people and initiatives of cinema and education: the process of creation of the platform Primeiro Plano “by the postdoctoral researcher Raquel Pacheco. In addition to these three presentations, several doctoral students, with projects under development at CIAC, will have exposed digital posters where they present their work: we highlight the work of João Pinto, a PhD student who will be presenting his work in the field of film literacy.

The Science 2019 will take place this year between July 8 and 10, aiming at promoting a broad debate on the main topics and challenges of the scientific agenda beyond the world of research. The meeting main goal, therefore, is to stimulate not just the participation but also the interaction between researchers, the business sector and the general public.

The meeting Ciência 2019 is promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture – Ciência Viva, and the Parliamentary Commission of Education and Science, and has the institutional support of the Government through the Minister of Science, Technology and Education Higher. In this edition, the Meeting has the United Kingdom as a guest country, with which Portugal has the oldest international alliance in force.
