EXHIBITION
Milreu Roman Ruins hosts Unforeseeable by Pedro Cabral Santo
CIAC, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, holds the exhibition Unforeseeable, by Pedro Cabral Santo, in the ‘Rural House’ of the Milreu Roman Ruins in Estoi, Faro. This exhibition is part of the programme jointly developed by the two institutions, with the aim of encouraging interaction between the academic and local communities, stimulating dialogues between art and cultural heritage of the region.
The Unforeseeable exhibition is part of a triptych, which began with Unconditionally (Colégio das Artes, 2014) and Absolutely (VFP Gallery, 2015). In this show, Pedro Cabral Santo has developed a complex device, which involves innumerable media and techniques, which, as a whole, seek to surround the viewer with an environment that aims to explore and approach the role of artists, and art, with respect to problems, and generic events, prevailing and anchored in our so-called contemporary societies – important and unpredictable political-social phenomena related to the incessant dissemination of multiple and different languages that constitute the essence of our contemporary world, and which take form amidst the pictorial, sculptural and installation essence.
Unforeseeable opens on February 17 at 6:00 p.m. and runs until May 19.
