NEW BOOK BY EUGÉNIA VASQUES LAUNCHED ON JANUARY 18th

On 18 January 2023, at 18h00, the book Teatro de Revista em Portugal: Revistas «Perdidas» e Outras (1851-1868) will be presented at the Biblioteca da Imprensa Nacional in Lisbon. This is the most recent book by CIAC researcher Eugénia Vasques, co-authored by Paulo Morais-Alexandre, David Cranmer, and Luísa Lousã Marques. The book will be presented by director and author Filipe La Féria, and the session will be attended by Eugénia Vasques, Elmano Margato (President of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon), and Duarte Azinheira (editor).

Teatro de Revista em Portugal: Revistas «Perdidas» e Outras (1851-1868) contributes to the preservation and dissemination of important unpublished works in the history of Teatro de Revista in Portugal. In addition to framing essays and historical-artistic analysis and the exploration of specialized bibliography, this monumental volume (about 1500 pages) makes available – via transcription – unpublished scripts of magazines thought lost, as well as images from magazines published at the time of the premiere, which are of difficult access and particular importance as a whole.
