CIAC WEBINARS

ADRIANA NASCIMENTO IS THE SECOND GUEST OF CIAC WEBINARS
On the 10th of November, at 2pm, CIAC promotes the webinar “Poéticas Feministas em Corpo, Espaço e Tempo” [Feminist Poetics in Body, Space and Time], with Adriana Nascimento, from the Federal University of São João Del-Rei (Brazil). After the great adhesion to the opening lecture with Nigel Power, the CIAC Webinars return for their second edition.
With a vast program focused on the areas of culture, arts and communication, the CIAC Webinars focus, in this second session, on the curation and narrative of feminist poetics in body, space and time, based on the work of some Brazilian artists. Transiting through inter-relations between bodily (physical, emotional, spiritual), spatial and temporal dimensions, we intend to approach the relations of the feminine in contemporary society, crossing ethical, aesthetic, moral, philosophical and political debates.
Adriana Nascimento is a researcher, independent curator, professor and one of the founders of the Interdepartmental and Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Arts, Urbanities and Sustainability, at the Federal University of São João Del-Rei (UFSJ). She is coordinator of the A.T.A. Research Group since 2010 and also integrates the research groups MALOCA (UNILA) and Art, City and Architecture (UFU). She has built her professional career in the areas of arts and urban issues. She has coordinated curatorial projects such as “Ephemeral Interventions in Urban Contexts” and “Latin American Urbanities”. Her research relates body, space and time in an intersectional way, observing narratives, paths, routes and trajectories.
After Nigel Power in October, Adriana Nascimento is the second guest on the Center’s webinar program, which takes place without physical boundaries once a month. Tom McCarthy and Alfonso Palazon are already confirmed for the next editions.
Participation is free of charge and a certificate is awarded.
