CYCLE
The second session of the Extensive Cycle “Herético e Libertário”, in honor of Vítor Reia-Baptista, takes place in March. The presentation of the session will be in charge of Isa Catarina Mateus, responsible for the Educational Commission of the Cineclube of Faro.
On the 20th March, Wednesday, at 3:00 p.m., the projection of the film Mónica e o Desejo | Sommaren Med Monika will take place at the IPDJ, in Faro, a film by the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. This 1953 film marked, impressively, the filmmakers of the “nouvelle vague.” Half a century after the premiere, its modernity continues to be one of the references of Ingmar Bergman’s masterpiece, which tells of the passion of two teenagers fleeing their families to seek illusions of happiness on the archipelago’s islands (Cinemateca Portuguesa).
The cycle of homage “Herético e Liberário”, organized by the Cineclube of Faro and CIAC, with the support and collaboration of the School of Education and Communication, started in February and lasts until the end of 2019.
