COMMUNICATION SCIENCES SEMINAR INVITES JOSÉ MAURO NUNES TO DISCUSS HUMAN SUSTAINABILITY AND THE CIRCULARITY OF TIME

The next Communication Sciences Seminar will focus on the theme “Human Sustainability and Circularity of Time” and will feature guest speaker Professor Dr. José Mauro Nunes from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE/FGV).

The seminar is scheduled for December 4, from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, in an online format, and is part of the Research and Extension Seminars course in the Master’s program in Digital Communication and Media.

José Mauro Nunes holds a Ph.D. in Psychology (PUC-Rio, 2000, area of focus: Clinical Psychology), a Master’s in Psychology (PUC-Rio, 1996, area of focus: Clinical Psychology), and is a Psychologist (UFRJ, 1992).

Currently, he is an associate professor at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Human Formation with Technologies at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IFHT/UERJ), Vice-Leader of the Research Line “Teaching with the support of technologies: learning, subjectivation, and citizenship,” in the Postgraduate Program in Public Policies and Human Formation (UERJ), and in the Research Line “Sociology of Marketing” (UFRRJ).

He is also a collaborating professor at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE/FGV), teaching in the Master’s and Executive Education Programs (MBAs and Post-MBA).

José Mauro Nunes is the author of the books “Design & Development: 40 Years Later (São Paulo: Blucher, 2015, with Gabriel Patrocínio), “Consumer Behavior” (Rio de Janeiro: FGV Editora, 2011), “Market Research” (Rio de Janeiro: FGV Editora, 2011), “Language and Cognition” (Rio de Janeiro: LTC Editora, 2006), and “Consumer Behavior and Market Research” (Rio de Janeiro: FGV Editora, 2006, 3rd edition).

His research interests cover the topics of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Market Research, Decision Making, and Cognitive Psychology.

The Communication Sciences Seminars are an initiative that has been developing in recent years, in connection with professionals and the community. The sessions are promoted by the researchers of CIAC’s Research Group on Communication Sciences, professors in The Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Master’s Degree in Communication and Digital Media of ESEC-UAlg.
