ESEC AND CIAC PROMOTE V CONFERENCE ON ETHICS IN ORGANIZATIONS
Tomorrow, 7th of December, at 10am, the School of Education and Communication (ESEC) of the University of Algarve and CIAC promote the V Conference on Ethics in Organizations, with journalist and professor Fernando Correia. Organized within the scope of the 3rd year course unit Ethics and Deontology of Communication, the session will take place online, via Zoom.
Open to the entire academic community, the conference aims to encourage ethical reflection on some current issues.
Fernando Correia has a degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon and a Master in Communication, Cultures and Information Technologies from ISCTE. He is Visiting Associate Professor at the Degree in Communication Sciences and Culture of the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, Journalism Area, of which he is part of the Scientific Council. He is a founding member and researcher at the Media and Journalism Research Center (CIMJ) and integrates the Editorial Board of Media e Jornalismo, CIMJ’s journal. A journalist since 1966, he is Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Vértice and Editor of periodicals at Editorial Caminho, member of the General Council of the Journalists’ Union, founding member of the Journalists’ Club, member of the jury of the Gazeta Journalism Awards, and Editorial Director of the magazine JJ – Jornalismo e Jornalistas. He is the author of Os Jornalistas e as Notícias. A Autonomia Jornalística em Questão (1997) and Jornalismo e Sociedade (2000). He has presented dozens of papers in seminary’s, debates, conferences and congresses related to media and journalism, part of which were published in newspapers, magazines and collective works.
