PEDRO ALVES DA VEIGA AND MIRIAN TAVARES PARTICIPATE IN CONFERENCE ABOUT DIGITAL ART
On March 28, 2022, CIAC researcher Pedro Alves da Veiga and CIAC coordinator Mirian Tavares will attend the Conference of Digital Art, promoted by Zer0 Museum/Magalhães Project. Integrated in the Algarve Tech Hub Summit program, the event takes place at the Pedagogical Complex of the Penha Campus.
Pedro Alves da Veiga presents “Technologies supporting research and creation in digital art”, at 3:45 pm. The paper addresses the theory of the economy of experience and the capacity for innovation, improvisation, and adaptation of producers, with a view to differentiation. At 5pm, Mirian Tavares presents “The impact of digital art in today’s society”, a speech focused on technological images and the role of aesthetics in the recovery of the senses.
In addition to the thematic sessions, the conference includes a master class with Emanuel Pimenta on technology, artificial intelligence, culture, and arts (between 2.30pm and 3.15pm); and an exhibition of digital art works (between 2.30pm and 6pm, in Amphitheater 1.3), held by artists accompanied by the Zer0/Magalhães Museum Project.
The Conference of Digital Art aims to raise awareness among the business, academic and school communities about the role of digital art in a cultural training process, supported by the use of new technologies; and to promote the artistic and entrepreneurial work developed by artists and creatives supported by the Zer0/Magalhães Museum project (which aims to promote the development of creative and entrepreneurial initiatives in the area of culture).
The event is free, but requires prior registration here.
