PhD in Communication, Culture and Arts

Jusciele Oliveira, CIAC’s collaborator in the field of African film studies, defended, on November 27, at the University of Algarve, evidence to obtain a PhD in Communication, Culture and Arts with the project “Precisamos vestir-nos com a luz negra: uma análise autoral nos cinemas africanos – o caso de Flora Gomes” (We need to dress with the black light: an authorial analysis in African theaters – the case of Flora Gomes).

The jury, composed of Mirian Tavares (superviser of the project, CIAC/UAlg), Ana Isabel Soares (CIAC/UAlg), Walter Rosa (FCTUC) and Paulo Cunha (UBI) was chaired by Alexandra Reis (FCHS-UAlg). The PhD project was approved with the mention of Very Good with Distinction and Praise.
