CIAC hosts international research stay.
Since July, Nuria Sánchez-Gey Valenzuela has been conducting a research stay at CIAC as part of her PhD, hosted by the University of Seville. The doctoral student, supervised by Professor Ramón Reig, has been working on Andalusian audiovisual production and regional public television.
At CIAC, during her stay, she has worked with Professor Bruno Silva and the researcher Gabriela Borges on a comparative analysis of Portuguese channel 2 and Andalusian channel Sur 2. In September, the researcher will also be at the University of Algarve for a seminar on research journalism, an activity she has been working professionally in Spain.
Nuria Sánchez-Gey Valenzuela has a degree in Journalism from the University of Seville. She is currently completing her doctoral dissertation on audiovisual production and regional public television in Andalusia, with the supervision of Professor Ramón Reig. Professionally, she was a reporter for the private national TV show “Equipa de Pesquisa”, La Sexta, and prior to that, she worked as a reporter for the news section of “The Afternoon, Here and Now,” which is broadcast daily by Canal Sur Televisión and features “Juan y Medio”. For four years, she worked at Informac Telecinco, formerly at Antena 3 Noticias and other local media. At the same time, she has collaborated on different books and also made presentations and conference presentations, which has made her specialize in television and information structure. Finally, last year, she published his first book “Gabinete do Herói”.
