CIAC PARTICIPATES IN THE III FESTIVAL OF ACCESSIBLE CINEMA

CIAC researcher António Costa Valente will attend the 3rd edition of the Accessible Film Festival, which will take place between 24th and 25th of September , in a live format and with livestreaming on the Youtube channel of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. This is an event dedicated to the availability of accessible programming in cinema and in the local museological offer.

The program of this edition includes a plenary session with António Costa Valente, as director of the Cine Clube de Avanca; a National Competition of Accessible Cinema, where multiple higher education institutions with training in Translation (and particularly Audiovisual Translation), show the work done by their students; film screenings; and visits to the Graça Morais Contemporary Art Center and the Abbot of Baçal Museum (with live audio description and interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language).

The event is organized by the Scientific Committee of the Master’s Degree in Translation, of the School of Education, of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, in partnership with the Cine Club of Avanca, known for its Film Festival and its International Conference of Film – Art, Technology, Communication.
