V MEETING OF THE WORK GROUP OF YOUNG RESEARCHERS OF SOPCOM WITH THE PRESENCE OF CIAC

CIAC participated in the V Meeting of the Work Group of Young Researchers of SOPCOM – Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences, which took place on 16 and 17 of September. CIAC researcher João Pinto presented his research project “Educação, Cinema e Redes Sociais: uma investigação sobre o Plano Nacional de Cinema” [“Education, Cinema and Social Networks: an investigation on the National Cinema Plan”] and also some of the preliminary results already published.

Hosted by CIAC, with funding from FCT and integrated in the PhD in Digital Media-Art under the supervision of Professors Teresa Cardoso (Universidade aberta) and Ana Isabel Soares (University of Algarve), the researcher’s work aims to study the presence of the PNC in social networks and to sustain a vision of the PNC in the new audiovisual contexts.

The model of this meeting also allowed the researcher João Pinto to analyze and comment about studies in progress, as is the case of the research “Jornalismo Infantojuvenil: produção de informação especializada e segmentada para crianças contemporâneas – casos Visão Júnior e Radar XS” [“Children and Youth Journalism: specialized and segmented information production for contemporary children – cases Visão Júnior and Radar XS”] (Ana Ferreira, from Fernando Pessoa University) and “Comunicação conectada e influenciadores digitais na comunidade de League of Legends” [“Connected communication and digital influencers in the League of Legends community”] (Marina Darcie, from UNESP – Brazil).

The participation in the event resulted in an exchange of experiences that generated added value for the various works and institutions involved.
