As usual, the CIAC will be present at the International Conference on Cinema – Art, Technology and Communication of Avanca, which will take place from July 25th to 29th. In this edition, Mirian Tavares, Coordinator of the Center, is part of the Scientific Committee of the event.

In the presentation of works, the researcher Jusciele Oliveira will present the communication “It is necessary to keep hope”: Perspectives of the future through the discourse of the child in the postcolonial representations of the film Blue Eyes of Yonta (1992) of Flora Gomes”, in the in the scope of her doctoral research that is being developed at CIAC, under the supervision of Mirian Tavares. The researcher Maria de Fátima Nunes will present the work “Dialogo cinema e pintura”. Finally, we will have the research work of Carlos Gonçalves Tavares, a doctoral student supervised by Bruno Mendes da Silva and Alba Pedreira Vieira, with the title “Media occupations in the city: an analysis of the creative process in videodance”.
