On the 22th May, the Galician Studies Center, in partnership with the CIAC and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, celebrates the Galician Day of Letters with a program dedicated to Antón Fraguas, Spanish writer, historian, anthropologist and ethnographer, recognized defender of Galician language and culture.
The program’s agenda includes the inauguration of an exhibition dedicated to the writer, published in the conference room of the Library, in Campus de Gambelas, as well as two lectures, beginning at 10:30 am in the same place:
“Antón Fraguas, cronista da memoria e contador da historia”, by Maria Botana Vilar (CIAC/CEG/UAlg);
“Antón Fraguas, o galego do pobo no Pobo galego”, by Raquel Lopéz Veleiro (CEG).
On this day, we will also have a session of multilingual poetry entitled “Opening Doors”.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
