CIAC researchers participate in the IX AIM Meeting
As usual, CIAC researchers participate in the IX Encontro da Associação de Investigadores da Imagem e Movimento.
The meeting will take place in Santiago de Compostela from 13th to 16th May, with the participation of Raquel Pacheco and Ana Isabel Soares with the communication “O espectador em construção”, in which it is proposed to deepen the knowledge about the cinematographic and audiovisual cultures of children and young people from diverse social environments in order to understand the cinematographic and audiovisual literacy skills the way they are developed. the Researcher Raquel Pacheco will also moderate the panel H3: “Linguagem Cinematográfica”.
Álvaro Americano, developing his project at CIAC, will present the communication “O Cine Jornal Brasileiro e a política externa do Estado Novo”, in which it presents the result of the research on the way the Cine Jornal Brazilian was used as a strategic medium by the Press and Publicity Department for the dissemination of values and objectives of the “Estado Novo”.
Among the objectives of the AIM are the promotion of research in areas such as cinema, television,
cinema, video, the Internet, among others; as well as the promotion of regular scientific meetings and the edition of Aniki: Portuguese Magazine of Image in Motion.
