Mirian Tavares gives conference in Massachussetts.
In April, the CIAC coordinator Mirian Tavares will be at the University of Massachusetts in the United States of America, at the invitation of the Portuguese Studies Department of that university to participate in the international Meeting: “Heritages (s) of Portuguese Influence: Histories, Spaces, Texts, and Objects”, organized by Anna M. Klobucka (UMass-Dartmouth), Miguel Bandeira Jerónimo (CES-UC) and Walter Rossa (CES-UC). Mirian Tavares will make an intervention in the cinema area entitled “Ruins as discourse: the cinema device in the service of identity (re) construction”.
In addition to this conference, Mirian Tavares is part of the roundtable: “The challenges of heritage: Portugal, Africa, Brazil, Asia”, along with other researchers, where he will address the issue of “Heritage and anthropophagy: ways of using”.
