Trem Gallery welcomes exhibition “As coisas que não existem são mais bonitas” [Things that don’t exist are more beautiful”

The exhibition “As coisas que não existem são mais bonitas” opens on June 20, at 6:30 p.m., at the Trem Gallery, in Faro. The phrase from Brazilian poet Manoel de Barros serves as a pretext to six artists, who “lend us their eyes and open new spaces and breaches in common places”. Alexandre Sequeira Lima, Catarina Guerreiro, Filipe Ferreira, Francisco Rodrigues, Guilherme Gonçalves and Mafalda Neves reveal, through different techniques, what they see beyond what the eyes of others, who are not artists, are unable to reach. Open until August 03, the exhibition shows comic strip and illustration work through an art made of “cut fragments, of characters whose story has yet to be told or is being told the moment they come to exist”. Visit the exhibition and see the things that do not exist, because these are more beautiful.
