EXHIBITION
CIAC researcher among major names in contemporary Portuguese sculpture
The Almourol Contemporary Sculpture Park is to be opened on July 06 at 7:00 p.m., in the riverside park of Vila Nova da Barquinha. This is an open-air museum project, where works by eleven names in Portuguese contemporary sculpture are present, including the name of the artist and CIAC researcher Xana. This park includes works created purposely for this venue, from authors whose work has been developed since the 1960s to the present day, including: Alberto Carneiro, Ângela Ferreira, Fernanda Fragateiro, Pedro Cabrita Reis, among others. The works are located within the seven hectares of the Barquinha Park, while the project also features an exhibition gallery, a shop, artistic workshops and temporary accommodation for creators, as a complement to the children’s playgrounds and riverside walkways, all set in the natural surroundings of the banks of the Tagus River. Don’t miss it!
