Xana exhibits at the Chiado Museum

Xana, CIAC researcher and visual artist, will present, on February 09, in Lisbon, his exhibition “NOVA ASSEMBLEIA e algumas próteses”. The exhibition, which runs until April 01 in the Chiado Museum, comes about, according to the artist, “as the result of several previous works, such as: ‘Assembleia’, created in the garden of the Gulbenkian Foundation, the ‘Triumphal Arch’, located on a Barcelona avenue, or the ‘Lisbon Wall’, built on the Algarve’s beaches.” The exhibition is made up of works that “question the representation of architecture connected to the exercise of power and propose the idea of building an alternative place”. This exhibition is part of the commemorations of the 100th anniversary of the MNAC – Chiado Museum, which on the occasion of the event invited a selection of visual artists to create new works from an “from the outside in” perspective of the museum.
