How would it be a School where we learn the One, the Two and the Many?
The answer can be found in this exhibition by Marta Wengorovius, to be inaugurated at the Galeria Trem, where the works that tell of this School gather: plants, notebooks, notepad, questions to the teachers, the books that inspired it … the drawings that are made in it. A school that is not a school, a school that is an inhabited sculpture, where we pass and learn from space. A participatory work, begun in 2016, where we study in an interdisciplinary way, the Singularity (the UM), the Complicity (the Two), and the Community (the Many) and its accentuations in constant movement. One, Two and Many opens on April 24th at 6:30 p.m. This is another exhibition within the framework of the Visual Arts Course at the University of Algarve for the Trem Gallery, with the support of CIAC, FCT and the City Hall / Municipal Museum of Faro.
The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until the 20th june.
Marta Wengorovius (1963, Lisboa) Artista Visual. A sua pesquisa plástica e pessoal é multidisciplinar dialogando com outras disciplinas artísticas e científicas. Em 2012 funda a metodologia Um, dois e muitos com as obras e as suas ativações: Cabana de Leitura – Biblioteca Um, dois e muitos (2012); Um, dois e muitos – uma ilha em exposição (2016); e Escola Nómada (2016). A Metodologia Um, dois e muitos baseia-se no estudo do movimento do Um (a Singularidade), do Dois (a Cumplicidade), e dos Muitos (a Comunidade) e das suas acentuações em alternância constante. É doutoranda em Arte Contemporânea no Colégio das Artes, Universidade de Coimbra onde desenvolve a tese Um, dois e muitos. Expõe individualmente desde 1989. Das suas exposições e performances mais recentes destacam-se Preto Veludo, Cooperativa Árvore (2018); Um, dois e Muitos, Museu de História Natural, Lisboa (2018); Escola Nómada – Appleton Square (2018); Focus – drawings for use, Festival of Ephemeral Art, Sokolovsko, Polónia (2013); A Grande Saúde Fundação EDP, Lisboa (2012), Objectos de Errância, Museu do Chiado (2011); Mise à nu par l´action, Centre Culturel Calouste Gulbenkian, Paris (2009).

The Nomad School is as physical as the mountain of Arrábida and as mobile as a gust of wind.
The Nomad School flows between One, Two and the Many. It gathers and scatters like the beating of the heart.
The Nomad School does not want to know.
The Nomad School exists before knowledge; in silence, the encounter and listening.
The Nomad School is from the outside in and from the inside out.
The Nomad School is a step backwards in order to move forwards.
