Cláudia Ad Lima (BA)

Adenor Gondim, the photographer of the wind and his libertarian aesthetic raises questions about the participation of this important Brazilian portrait artist and his participation in the construction of photographic thinking and identity imagery about Salvador, the capital of Bahia. His eclectic work pervades some important artistic movements. At the same time documentary and abstract, it has as its mark the presentation of scenarios of resistance to the authentic manifestations of the city’s population. It has been consolidating a vast photographic, historical and memorographic collection of the soteropolitan population. Anchored in the concept of photography as a fragment of constitution of individuals and in the theoretical conceptions of Walter Benjamin, Vilém Flusser, among others, the study analyzes, from the merleau-pontyana phenomenology, the elements of the selected images.

Cláudia Ad Lima has a degree in journalism, she is a specialist in Regional Cultural Policy, and has a master’s degree in Communication from UFPE and a doctorate in Communication, Culture and Arts from the University of Algarve, in Faro / Portugal. His academic and professional background focuses on photography practice and theory, as well as on imagery narratives, themes of his varied publications, exhibitions, artistic and cultural interventions. She is currently a teacher at UNEB and also a collaborator for CIAC at UAlg.
