INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: ARTECH 2023

UNESCO’s ‘SMART CITIES’ IS THE OPENING PANEL OF ARTECH 2023
This year, ARTECH 2023 -11th International Conference on Digital and Interactive Arts is focused on “Digital Creation Processes”. The conference is organized by CIAC and Artech Internacional Association. The event will take place at Campus Penha, Complexo Pedagógico – University of Algarve, on 28, 29 and 30 November 2023.
In total, 107 papers were submitted, of which 66 were accepted (27 long e 39 short). The papers will be published by ACM International Conference Proceedings Series and made available on ACM Digital Library.
The proposals represent 22 countries: Brazil, Portugal, USA, Sweden, China, Taiwan, Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, UK, France, Estonia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Malta, Israel, Malaysia, Colombia, Belgium, Germany, Italy.
UALG TEC CAMPUS will offer its ‘open space’ and ‘room future’ for the exhibition of the 15 artefacts accepted for the conference during the three days of the event, and will grant access to the space for the artists and researchers involved. This joint organization is part of the protocols signed between UAlg/CIAC, Artech and Algarve Systems and Technology Partnership Association (Algarve STP).
Edgar Pêra, Heitor Alvelos e Juan Martín Prada are the guest speakers for this year’s edition and the opening panel will be “Tales of International Media Art: UNESCO MIL Cities, Art Tech Fusion Vietnam, Media Art Macau”, by Felipe Chibás (UNESCO), Trinh Thuy Anh (UEH) and Adérito Fernandes Marcos (CIAC/USJ). The program of the conference will be soon published.
ARTECH is one of the largest and most prestigious events in the field of digital arts and the relationship between arts and technology, bringing together artists and researchers from all over the world with the aim of contributing to the development of digital culture.
