MANUEL CÉLIO CONCEIÇÃO AT LEIC RESEARCH 2021 AS INVITED SPEAKER

Today (22 of October), CIAC researcher Manuel Célio Conceição was one of the invited speakers at the 8th edition of the international scientific conference The Linguistic, Educational and Intercultural Research 2021(LEIC Research 2021). “Linguistic diversity and knowledge in Higher Education: an embedded engagement” was the title of the plenary lecture presented by the researcher.

LEIC Research 2021 brings together researchers, university professors and representatives of educational institutions, to discuss language teaching in the post-pandemic space; present formulas for language teachers to meet the needs of the new generation of learners; and promote democratic citizenship, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue in classrooms (increasingly multicultural and multilingual).

Organized by Vilnius University (Lithuania) and Leipzig University (Germany) in an online format, the conference is part of the European Alliance of Arqus Universities. This is a multilateral alliance of international institutions that share academic, scientific and cultural objectives; a common vision of the role of higher education and research; and areas of mutual interest. It includes the Universities of Bergen (Norway), Granada (Spain), Graz (Austria), Leipzig (Germany), Lyon (France), Padua (Italy) and Vilnius (Lithuania).
