INTERVIEW BY ANA ISABEL SOARES WITH THE FILMMAKER JOÃO DIAS IS AVAILABLE ONLINE

The interview with photographer and filmmaker João Dias, conducted by CIAC researcher Ana Isabel Soares, was recently published in the online edition of Jornal do Fundão. Regarding the exhibition of his work As Operações de SAAL (SAAL Operations), at the 11th edition of the international seminar Encontros Cinematográficos, the conversation with the filmmaker focused on his career, his films and projects, and also on his move to the Interior.

The seminar Encontros Cinematográficos, taking place between October 29th and November 1st, at Moagem – Cidade do Engenho e Artes [City of Milling and Arts] (Fundão), promotes the meeting between many participants and filmmakers from different generations and geographies, with a particular focus on Portuguese cinema and emerging directors. The program of this edition includes different film screenings, followed by a debate with the presence of the authors: Nelson Fernandes (Zina), João Dias, Manuela Serra, Aya Koretzky, Rui Garrido, Sério Fernandes, Loukia Batsi, Marianna Stathaki.
