PAPER BY JOÃO ALBUQUERQUE PUBLISHED IN THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH JOURNAL
The paper “Narrative Devices: Jorge Luis Borges and the Art of Writing Interactive Literature” by CIAC researcher João Albuquerque, was published in “Variaciones Borges #54”—the most recent issue of the scientific journal edited by the University of Pittsburgh.
In this study, João Albuquerque investigates the complexity of Borges’ work. Albuquerque argues that “it is necessary to closely identify Borges’s referents in order to understand the reasons why he uses certain concepts, at different moments, in what is apparently a contradictory manner.”
Variaciones Borges is a journal devoted to the work of Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges. The journal is published twice a year in Spanish, English, and French by the University of Pittsburgh. The aim is to explore the special style of thinking, writing, and reading in which Borges excelled.
