ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE BOOK “WORKING DEFINITIONS IN LITERATURE AND TOURISM: A RESEARCH GUIDE” IS NOW AVAILABLE ON CIAC WEBSITE
Working Definitions in Literature and Tourism: a research guide it is the most recent CIAC publication and is already available for download on CIAC’s website. This publication was conceived by our research group Lit & Tour and brings together contributions of various experts on concepts in the field of literature and tourism. The book was edited by CIAC researchers Sílvia Quinteiro and Maria José Marques.
As a new field of research, Literature and Tourism seeks to establish the limits of its corpus; create or adapt methodologies; and find a set of concepts/definitions from which all researchers can operate. Working Definitions in Literature and Tourism: a research guide meets this need and brings together more 60 contributions from 40 experts worldwide.
The authors were invited to write their “entries” as a starting point for future research on the topic; therefore, suggestions for further reading are also included in this guide. The publication includes concepts such as bookshop tourism; collective memory; comparative literature; cultural anthropology; cultural heritage; cultural identity; cultural landscape; cultural tourism; dark literary tourism; film-induced literary tourism; intangible cultural heritage; library hotel; literary cartography; literary cities; literary hotel; literary landscape; literary routes and education; literary tourism; tourist literature; travel guides; virtual literary places; among others.
Therefore, this book is a meeting point for concepts and definitions; and a starting point for new and additional research.
