Romanceiro.pt is one of the projects selected by the European Association for Digital Humanities.
Investigators’ efforts to preserve collective memory gain prominence in the international scene.
The European Association for Digital Humanities, an entity that represents the Digital Humanities in Europe, has just joined the romanceiro.pt to its platform. The approval of the application represents the recognition by a prestigious European institution of the effort made by the research team to offer, daily, new tools and new methodologies to researchers working in the field and, at the same time, to generalize the access to thousands of resources within the scope of the Archive of the Portuguese Romanceiro of the Modern Oral Tradition. The project, which already attracted the attention of national institutions in 2013, such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (which financed the digitization process of the documentary nuclei of the Romanceiro) now gains international visibility by integrating the large showcase of European projects in Digital Humanities.
