The project  romanceiro.pt has just added to its digital platform the Dictionary of the Portuguese Romanceiro, a new valence that will allow researchers to study in depth the language of the traditional novel, and thus to advance with innovative conclusions about the Poetics of this literary genre.

This linguistic and philological tool, developed by Natália Pires, a researcher working in the field of oral tradition, who now joins the work group, intends to respond to a long felt need by those who work in the area.

Understanding the particularities of the language and how it contributes to the construction of this type of texts is, therefore, the main objective that guides the team, which opens a new chapter of the project to the public, with the free access of the Lexicon (Portuguese Romance Dictionary).

It is also Available new bibliographic resources related to the research and that can be accessed and downloaded, instantly, from the that digital platform.
