RELICI-Revista Livre de Cinema has just released its first issue of 2018 with a thematic dossier dedicated to “90 years of the musical film”, organized by CIAC’s collaborator and post-doctoral researcher Jorge Carrega. This dossier aims, therefore, to honor this cinematographic genre that marked the twentieth century, offering its readers a dossier that promotes a renewed look on the past and the present of the musical film, through a set of articles that approach the genre with resource to different theoretical and methodological approaches.

Jorge Carrega, in addition to the organization of the dossier, also signs an article entitled “Elvis em Hollywood: Apontamentos sobre o filme musical e a cultura popular norte-americana no século XX” (Elvis in Hollywood: Notes on the musical film and American popular culture in the twentieth century”).
