Catalog of the exhibition “WAIT”, at the Berardo Museum, includes a text by Mirian Tavares

The catalog of the exhibition “WAIT”, inaugurated at the Berardo Museum on the 30th January, has just been published by Stolen Books. The bilingual catalog includes an introductory text by Orlando Franco, curator of the exhibition, and another one by Mirian Tavares who wrote the article “Art in a Suspended World”, about the idea of waiting.

The temporary exhibition “WAIT”, open until the 14th April, “proposes a path with a scenic aura, with the purpose of involving the viewer as much as possible in an experience in which, directly or indirectly, one becomes aware of the perception of time.” Among the 20 invited artists, we can also find the work of Pedro Cabral Santo, a CIAC researcher, invited to this experience that aims to point out “several thematic clues, such as desire, tension between body and space, photography and death, memory, confrontation with the impossible and life in suspense. ”
