UALG’s LIBRARY HOSTS SEMINAR THAT CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF SARAMAGO

On 16 November 2022, from 14h30 to 17h30, the University of Algarve’s Library (Campus Gambelas) hosts a seminar that celebrates 100 Years of writer José Saramago. The event Geografias de Saramago [Saramago Geographies] is organized by CIAC and the University of Algarve, and funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

Isabel Araújo Branco presents “Imagens de Espanha e dos Universos Ibéricos em José Saramago”; CIAC associate Sara Rodrigues de Sousa presents “Saramago na rota do turismo literário: O caso de Levantado do Chão”; and Carina Infante do Carmo, also a CIAC associate, presents “O Viajante e a sua Bagagem”. Besides that, Adriana Freire Nogueira, Director of Algarve’s Regional Directorate of Culture (DRC ALgarve) and CIAC researcher, presents“Viagem ao Algarve na Viagem a Portugal”.
