Visual Arts Series

The second session of the Visual Arts Series will take place on November 21, at 3:30 p.m., in the auditorium 0.4 in Penha Campus Pedagogical Complex, with Marco Lopes.
Born in Faro (1977), he holds a degree in History from the University of Évora and a Master’s degree in Museology from the same academy. Marco Lopes is the Director of the Municipal Museum of Faro and Head of the Division of Culture, Museums, Archeology and Restoration in the Faro Municipality since 2011. before, between 1999 and 2011, he was in charge of the Tavira Municipality as Senior Technician of History. It has his name associated with several published articles and also with communications on history and local patrimony. It is also worth mentioning its presence in the Coordinating Group of the Algarve Museum Network between 2011 and 2015, as well as some prizes received for his participation in some works (Honorable Mention for Best Catalog in the APOM- Tavira Prizes, Sea Patrimony and Honorable Mention for Best Research Work in Art History by the SOS Azulejo Prize – Ramalho Ortigão collection).
