PUBLISHING THE STORY/HISTORY OF THE ARTIST’S BOOK IN PORTUGAL

Interviews conducted as part of the PhD of CIAC researcher Ana João Romana

Series of 30 interviews, conducted in 2016, with individuals working in fields related to artist books in Portugal: artists, publishers, booksellers, collectors, curators and librarians. Subjects broached in these interviews include biographical issues, questions about the specific profession of each interviewee, opinions about artist books and book presentation. The variety of interviewees ensures a range of perspectives, in the first person, on the common theme – the artist book in Portugal in the 21st century.
