CIAC in Brazil
Between the 23rd and 30th June, CIAC’s researcher and Professor at the Universidade Aberta, António Bandeira Araújo, visited the University of Pará (UFPA), in Belém, Brazil. He participated in the 1st Seminar on Mathematics and Art and gave an opening seminar, as well as a final workshop of CR3AR, 2nd Workshop on Creativity, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence. These lectures focused on the subjects of geometry and design of immersive anamorphoses and spherical perspectives, an intersection between mathematics, art and computer graphics.
This visit was made under the Program of Support for Interinstitutional Cooperation of the University of Pará, at the invitation of Professor Cristina Vaz of the Faculty of Mathematics of the Institute of Exact and Natural Sciences of UFPA, in order to establish a project of international cooperation and exchange with the research group in Science, Technology and Art of UFPA.
