CIAC RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

CALL FOR A RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP UNDER THE CYPET PROJECT OPEN UNTIL 21ST FEBRUARY 

Until 21st February , 2022, a call is open for a Research Fellowship, under the scope of Project EXPL/ARTPER/0788/2021 – CyPeT – “Development of a new pedagogical model for teaching cyber performance in higher education”, financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology, to be developed at CIAC – Center for Research in Arts and Communication.

The candidate must have a degree in Arts, Visual Arts, Performing Arts or related areas and must demonstrate strong motivation and experience in the field of performance art, using technological and/or digital media. In addition, the candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting study cycle or a post-graduate course that does not confer an academic degree, taught at the University of Algarve, except in cases where there is no training offer at UAlg in the area of the competition.

CyPET aims at the theoretical and practical exploration of cyber performance, from creative, performative and communicational angles, with the goal of developing a new pedagogical model for its inclusion in higher education curricula.

It is intended that the researcher-fellow contributes to the study of the state of the art in the area of cyber performance teaching; gathers data on the platforms used in teaching cyber performance and performing arts, their limitations, advantages and disadvantages; gathers evidence on different artistic practices in the field of cyber performance and respective technological and pedagogical digital resources; participate in the validation stage of the pedagogical model for teaching digital and performing arts online; support and participate in the realization of workshops, meetings, creation spaces, sharing of knowledge and experiences, among others, or in external consulting and in the development of cyber performance artistic projects.
