ESEC AND CIAC PROMOTE WORKSHOP ON SEO AND AUDIOVISUAL NARRATIVES

On 28 February 2023, at 10h00, CIAC and The Higher School of Education and Communication (ESEC) of the University of Algarve promote the workshop SEO and Audiovisual Narratives with Laura Vidal. Organized as part of the discipline Journalism and Editorial Production, Journalism and Audiovisual Production and Transnational Communication of the degree in Communication Sciences, the session will be moderated by Prof. Ana Filipa Martins and will take place in the Amphitheater 0.5, Pedagogical Complex, Campus Penha.

Laura Vidal has a degree in management and years of experience in the marketing and communication sector, having worked in advertising agencies and several national and international companies. In parallel with her professional career, she manages the Lusophone Connection (of which she is a co-founder). The Lusophone Connection is a global network of young people from Portuguese-speaking countries that develops multiple projects in the fields of education and culture and whose mission is to promote greater exchange between the new generations of the lusophone world. This ambitious project is linked to journalism and digital entrepreneurship and has already trained about 1500 young people in different countries and produced more than 2000 written articles through a network of collaborative journalism across borders.

Laura Vidal is passionate about journalism, content, and the media sector in general. She currently manages the personal brand of João Kopke, who is a surfer, content creator, and television presenter. In this project, she is responsible for the general coordination of a company dedicated to the creation of audiovisual content starring one of the surfers with the most followers in Portugal.

The Series of Communication Sciences Seminars is an initiative that has been developing in recent years, in connection with professionals and the community. The sessions are promoted by the researchers of CIAC’s Research Group on Communication Sciences, professors in The Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Master’s Degree in Communication and Digital Media of ESEC-UAlg. Throughout the school year 2022-23, it will address topics related to Communication Sciences; ranging from journalism to strategic communication, from media analysis and production to media literacy.
