CONFERENCE CYCLE
CIAC CO-ORGANIZES CYCLE OF CONFERENCES ROMANCEIRO.PT
The Cycle of Conferences Romanceiro.pt, organized by CIAC in partnership with the IELT – Instituto de Estudos de Literatura e Tradição takes place on 10 April 2023, at 18h00. The conferences will be held in 6 sessions, via Zoom, between April and November 2023.
The first session (10 April), will be taught by Laura Puerto Moro (Complutense University of Madrid) and focus on the “Primeros tiempos de la literatura popular impresa en la Península Ibérica: aproximación panorámica al universo del pliego poético (s.XVI)”.
Also noteworthy are the sessions: “Instantâneos: sobre alguna poesia oral” (May 5), with João Dionísio (University of Lisbon/CLUL); “El romancero americano: reformulaciones y resemantizaciones en contextos socioculturales diversos” (June 5), with Gloria Chicote (Universidad Nacional de La Plata/Conicet); “Comentarios sobre la cançó llarga o balada catalana” (September 25), with Salvador Rebés Molina (Societat Catalana De Llengua I Literatura); “O que é recolher textos da tradição oral moderna?” (October 9), with Pere Ferré (University of Algarve/CIAC); and “A balada romântica” (November 13), with Fátima Freitas Morna (University of Lisbon).
The Cycle of Conferences Romanceiro.pt aims to address, in a panoramic manner and for a transdisciplinary audience, aspects that permeate the study of the novelist, such as issues of printed transmission, ancient tradition, modern oral tradition, or the novelist in other traditions.
