CYCLE OF VISUAL ARTS
BRUNO GRILO IS THE NEXT GUEST OF THE CYCLE OF VISUAL ARTS
On May 25, 2022, at 5 pm, CIAC and the University of Algarve promote a lecture with visual artist Bruno Grilo. Integrated in the Cycle of Visual Arts , the session will take place at the Amphitheatre 0.4 of the Penha Campus and admission is free.
Working mainly with sculpture, installation, photography and drawing, Bruno Grilo develops an artistic practice that seeks to make viable an expanded sculptural language, which associates a conceptual and contemporary pertinence with a political and social one. He completed his Masters in Fine Arts at the Birmingham School of Art (UK) and is currently pursuing his PhD in Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto.
Her work has been exhibited at the Association 289 project room (2021); Galeria Ocupa (2020); Palacete dos Viscondes de Balsemão (2020); Casa Museu Abel Salazar (2019); Galeria Municipal João Bailote (2019); Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art (2017); Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (2017); Midlands Art Center (2017); Wolverhampton Museum & Art Gallery (2016); Library of Birmingham (2015); Convento de St. António – Loulé (2013).
