CIAC coordinator is part of a delegation from the University of Algarve visiting China

Mirian Tavares is now in Macao, representing the Research Center for Arts and Communication, as part of a delegation from the University of the Algarve, that went to that region of the globe with the objective of establishing protocols and partnerships, affirming Portugal as an excellent destination for scientific research.

The Algarve delegation also participated in the First Summit on Cooperation Perspectives in the Greater Pearl River Area, organized with the purpose of investing in the transfer of knowledge, innovation and networks between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, creating a route from Latin America to the East. This incursion into Chinese territory begins in Macau, an autonomous territory, which was administered by Portugal until 1999, and is spread throughout Mainland China during this week.

The participation of UAlg is part of the project “Algarve is Our Campus – Study and Research in Algarve”, co-financed by the Regional Operational Program of Algarve – CRESC Algarve 2020, through the System of Support to Collective Actions – Internationalization, which aims to promote and strengthen the visibility and attractiveness of the University of Algarve and the Region through the implementation of actions aimed at internationalization and the consequent increase in the number of students, teachers and international researchers.
