Project in the area of ​​actor direction, hosted by CIAC, has its first public presentation, “Escobar na Missa do Galo””, on the 18th February, at 2:30 pm, in the Viewing Room of the Department of Cinema of the Superior School of Theater and Cinema.

The Professor and researcher, Heloísa Machado, is currently developing the project “Missa do Galo”, based on the homonym tale of the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis. This project is hosted at the CIAC and at the Superior School of Theater and Cinema.

“Missa do Galo”, developed following a protocol with the Fluminense Federal University-UFF, consists of the applicability, in different and varied dramaturgies and aesthetics, of the Active Analysis Method, the last element of the Stanislavski System, developed from the Physical Actions Method , in an attempt to try out their possibilities and possible limits for the creation of characters, even in diverse semiological contexts, theatrical or cinematographic.

The cast is formed by two third year students of the Superior School of Theater and Cinema, Beatriz Costa and Miguel Matos. In the two secondary characters we can find Francisca Listopad and Luís Portugal, PhD student of the University Lusófona. In the Art, we have Rita Capelo and Daniela Cardante, also students of the ESTC, who are being supervised by Prof. Sérgio Loureiro. In the production the project has counted on the collaboration and orientation of Professor Conceição Mendes.
