The Researcher António Araújo (CIAC / UAb) will be at the University of São José, where he will give the Seminar “Drawing Spherical Perspectives and Immersive VR Panoramas”. The event, with free admission, will take place on Tuesday, 24th March, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
António Araújo has devoted himself to the study of the application of geometry to visual arts, in particular to the study of the curvilinear perspectives and anamorphoses, both in the scope of classical techniques and in their relation with the algorithms and techniques of digital art. This research maintains a close connection with his parallel ongoing activities in the field of plastic arts and illustration. He is a member of both CIAC – Centre for Research in Arts and Communication (Universidade Aberta) and CMAF-CIO – Center for Mathematics, Fundamental Applications and Operations Research.
