Another edition of E-X-S-I is held in Porto.

The annual event E-X-S-I, Meeting between Expressions, Sound and Image, organized by the CIAC researchers at ISMAI (Instituto Universitário da Maia) is born of collective reflection by academics, creators, curators and trainees on the articulation between contemporary practice and research in several domains of sound and image.
The word meting is central to the concept of the event, as it reflects the confluence, in an informal dialogue, of the means of creation, teaching, exhibition, production and distribution, a great diversity of sound and visual contents expressed in the most ranging from interactive design, short films, audiovisual installations and performances. Without circumscription, instead, permanent holding.
The E-X-S-I is an annual, one-day event, which runs from March to April, since 2016, and is open to all interested in the various themes.
This year, the E-X-S-I includes the Vivarium Festival crossing the times in which both take place approaching themes transversal to the two events. For the second year, the concert hall of Maus Hábitos will be specially prepared to receive the five presentations that make up the E-X-S-I.
