INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM

SÍLVIA QUINTEIRO TAKES PART IN COLLOQUIUM ON COMPARATIVE LITERATURE  

On June 5 and 6, 2023, CIAC researcher Sílvia Quintero joins the International Colloquium Comparative Literature yesterday and today: tribute to Helena Carvalhão Buescu in the 25 years of the Center for Comparative Studies, with the communication “Perception, representation and creation of the tourist space in Ramalho Ortigão”. The event is organized by the Center for Comparative Studies and it will take place at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon.

Before the Colloquium, a ceremony of awarding the title of Professor Emerita to Helena Buescu will be held. (more information here). The meeting is open to the public and will bring together a group of experts in the fields of work of the honoree, and people who have spoken with her over the past years. This initiative will be complemented by a volume of essays, with a broader set of contributions, to be published in 2024.
