OLIVIA FERNÁNDEZ PARTICIPATES IN THE XI CONFERENCE ON DIDACTIC IN MADRID

On 10 and 11 March 2023, CIAC researcher Olivia Novoa Fernández will participate on the XI Jornadas Didáticas ELE (ELE stands for Spanish as a Foreign Language). The event is organized by editorial Difusión and the Centro de Lenguas of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).

The poster communication “la Lengua Enmascarada: creatividad centrada en el alumno“, by Olivia Fernández, was selected and awarded in the special section ”La Galería del ELE”, which awards the best practices of teaching innovation in Spanish as a Foreign Language Classes. The researcher presents La Lengua Enmascarada, a project created in 2020, where students and alumni of the Spanish course share, in a blog and on social networks, creative texts and images of authorship.

La Lengua Enmascarada aims to explore the possibilities offered by the media to break the boundaries of the classroom in language learning. The project is inspired by Freinet’s pedagogy to foster free expression, the connection with the environment, and the active participation of students.
