INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

RICARDO MESTRE TAKES PART IN ASIAN CONFERENCE ON ARTS AND HUMANITIES 

On 29 May 2023, at 12h00, CIAC researcher Ricardo Mestre takes part in the 14th Asian Conference on Arts & Humanities (ACAH2023) organized by International Academic Forum (IAFOR) of the University of Osaka, Japan. The conference takes place between 26 and 29 May in Tokyo, Japan, and online.

Ricardo Mestre presents the communication “Sound Instance: A Inner Soundwalk Through Life”. The soundscape is characterized as a collection of sounds available in the world, related to different contexts and origins, seeking to guide and share information, contributing to the well-being of society and other ecosystems. To this end, the soundwalk is an empirical method of sound exploration in different places, focusing on the individual’s daily life, with the aim of changing minds and encouraging action through a critical perception of the environment.

The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) was founded in Nagoya, Japan, in 2009 as a research organization, conference organiser and publisher dedicated to encouraging interdisciplinary discussion, facilitating intercultural awareness and promoting international exchange, principally through educational interaction and academic research.
