RUI TRAVASSO TAKES PART IN CONFERENCE ON CULTURE AND HISTORY IN VIENNA

Between 25 and 27 July 2023, CIAC researcher Rui Travasso will attend at 7th International Conference on Culture and History, in Vienna.

In his communication, “The Clarinet as a Tangible Acoustic Interface” the researcher argues that a more traditionalist musical instrument can be transformed into a Tangible Acoustic Interface (TAI). In this way, in addition to the player enjoying it in all its normal acoustic characteristics, a clarinet on a TAI model is also used as an interface to communicate with a computational component through solid vibrations.

The 7th International Conference on Culture and History (ICCH 2023) is co-sponsored by Loyola Marymount University and Utrecht University and aims to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners, and professionals from both the industry and the academia to share their newest research findings and results in the field of culture and history.
