‘JORNAL DE LETRAS’ PUBLISHES ARTICLE ABOUT EUGÉNIA VASQUES

The last edition of Jornal de Letras (Mar/2023) published an article about the book Teatro de Revista em Portugal: Revistas «Perdidas» e Outras (1851-1868), written by CIAC researcher Eugénia Vasques, and coauthored by Paulo Morais-Alexandre, David Cranmer and Luísa Lousã Marques. Published in January 2023, this is the most recent publication by the Theater researcher.

Teatro de Revista em Portugal: Revistas «Perdidas» e Outras (1851-1868) contributes to the preservation and dissemination of important unpublished works in the history of Teatro de Revista in Portugal. In addition to framing essays and historical-artistic analysis and the exploration of specialized bibliography, this monumental volume (about 1500 pages) makes available – via transcription – unpublished scripts of magazines thought lost, as well as images from magazines published at the time of the premiere, which are of difficult access and particular importance as a whole.
