NATIONAL CINEMA PLAN

CIAC RESEARCHER’S WORK REFERENCED AS A BIBLIOGRAPHIC RESOURCE ON THE NEW WEBSITE OF THE NATIONAL CINEMA PLAN
The research project “Education, Cinema, Social Networks: a study on the National Film Plan“, by CIAC researcher João Pinto, is referenced as a bibliographical resource on the National Film Plan web platform. Integrated in the Doctorate in Digital Media Arts (University Aberta/University of Algarve) and with the scientific guidance of Professors Teresa Cardoso (University Aberta) and Ana Isabel Soares (University of Algarve), the referenced document is a scientific article resulting from a communication made at the National Meeting of Young Researchers in Education (ENJIE), which took place in 2019, at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies.
Funded by the FCT (SFRH/BD/137359/2018) and hosted by CIAC, “Education, Cinema, Social Networks: a study on the National Cinema Plan” has as its object of study the governmental initiative National Cinema Plan and takes as its foundations framers the notions of Open Education and Audiovisual, viewed under the theoretical triad Education/Cinema/Social Networks. This investigation addresses the relationship between cinema, education and social networks, in the context of the digital lifestyles of today’s society, and the importance of developing/disseminating media literacy.
This work intends to understand how the National Cinema Plan has used online digital social networks, systematizing good practices and defining a set of recommendations to improve the use of these tools. Within the scope of the new paradigms of open science, the authors consider that it can contribute to the consolidation of scientific knowledge in the areas of Education, Cinema and Social Networks.
The National Cinema Plan has recently launched its website and has provided useful online resources for the participating schools. This digital platform allows, among other tools, free access to the film collection and the collection of educational files.
