New Publication

The article “Developing Media Literacy: A Film and Education Project at the Polytechnic School of Viana do Castelo” by Raquel Pacheco is part of volume 11 of the publication “New Horizons in Education and Studies”

The article signed by Raquel Pacheco, written in partnership with Anabela Moura and Carlos Almeida, addresses cinema as a means of acquiring media literacy, the problematization of cinema as an artistic expression and the promotion of interdisciplinarity between the areas of communication, cinema, education and artistic education. The objective of the article is to describe an action-research that is repeated annually, when students are confronted with cinema and audiovisual language and the monitoring of the creations of a Superior Course in Arts and Technology.
