Mia Couto – The light of Shadows is the most recent publication written by CIAC researcher José Paulo Pereira. The book was published by the publishing company Palimage and is available for purchase here.

In this book, José Paulo Pereira focuses on the writer Mia Couto: his writing; the concepts of memory and “cultural translation”; the matter of genres; the critical revisiting of history and the historicity of fiction; mourning and melancholy. This work helps us to better situate the writer’s perspective.
